[Resolved] Screen resolution capped below 1440p?

I've noticed the graphics are a tiny bit fuzzy. After checking some of my screenshots, the resolution of the images are actually at 2048x1152, not native 2560x1440 which appears on the launcher. I get the same issue with Full screen and Windowed mode.

Funnily enough I sometimes get the same issue with Train Simulator in Windowed mode, and I can fix it there by toggling Full screen back to Windowed mode again. However in T/S I know I have the issue as the resolution in the settings shows lower, but in Trainz it still shows as 2560 x 1440, but it is not...

I've logged a bug in any case.

Please note that some of the 'High' and 'Ultra' Post Processing effects settings deliberately introduce fuzziness and out-of-focus distance and near-focus blur, so best to evaluate this with PP either set to 'Manual' (and adjusted) or to the 'Low' preset.

I had it set to Ultra, just tried it this morning with the Low preset, the fuzz is still there . Is there a settings file somewhere that I can check in notepad... I'm suspecting its held in binary format however.

Yes I'm having this current problem with ts22 Plus I know this is an old thread but I need help my monitor is a 3440x1440p and I'm also trying to run 2560 and I'm still having the blurriness
Unless you're running an i9 with an RTX 4090 I'd use a lower resolution. 1920 by 1080 is 2,073,600 pixels, 3440 by 1440 is 4,953,600 pixels. So it takes a lot more hardware to drive 3440 by 1440.

similar issues here to as my display is at 5120 x 1440 @ 60Hz
may be there need to be a display settings update done with their next patch!

No luck waiting for that, alby6. The program has been capped at 2K resolution we were told. It's too bad because displays are getting larger and larger with higher resolution. But then again, we are pushing lots of polygons around that require a lot of video card resources to do the job on top of everything else we use the video card for.

The Comparison between TRS19 100240 and the current Trainz+ beta 123794
on a 28" monitor here (my middle one)

Never like it when software developers cap or limit something
in 5 years we laugh about it, 100240 still rocks !

enjoy Christmas :-)

Don't run it in full screen mode if you have two monitors.......
