Scaling of Google Map images?

If I zoom into a Google Map so that the scale at the lower-left corner of the map says 200 feet, press "Print Screen" key, paste the image into Paint Shop Pro, crop the image to 512X512 pixels, save the image, create a plane in 3DS MAX at 512X512 feet, and create the material, I found out that I need to scale the plane up 300 percent so that the tape tool measures about 200 feet on the scale. Is there a better way?

Make the plane 3 times larger.
If you're making plane objects for using Google Earth images in Surveyor they can be whatever size is convenient for you. I would resize to 1024x1024 for better resolution, but then make the finished plane whatever size makes your image come out to the right size.
Anyway, it takes fewer planes to cover an area if they're bigger, so making them small isn't usually much of an advantage.

I can't make the images larger than 512X512 pixels because the maximum graphic resolution of my monitor is 1280X1024 pixels.
