Where does Trainz save your files when you make your own layout? lost my last one when program crashed. want to be able to save it outside program and put back in if that happens again.

In TRS2004 Maps are saved in World Directory

In TRS2004 maps and assets are saved in the world directory folder. Backing up that folder will save everything from disaster. Not sure if it is the same for TRS2006 and TC.

For TRS06/TC they are in a folder called 'local'. This contains ALL 3rd party content that you have installed in TRS (everything you've downloaded/created). If you back this up, it can save you a lot of time in the long run, with downloading and so on
