Saving Routes & Sessions

I wonder if anyone can help me get my head around the mysteries of Saving in TRS09? I've read the manual of course but on my screen it never seems the same as in the book.
I gather that there are 3 lists: Surveyor (routes & sessions); Driver 1 (routes & sessions); & Driver 2 (Saved Sessions).
In Surveyor I have laid some track and created a session with a schedule, but in Driver1 the schedule has disappeared, and in Driver 2 it doesn't appear in the list of saved sessions. What am I doing wrong?

did you delete the train or didn't save the session?
also in Driver2 that is only the sessions that you have driven and then stoped played and when you press "save"

If you are looking for the route and session in Driver, make sure the gold star at the upper left corner of the selection window is not highlighted. If it is,, only favorite assets are showing, and if you have noted your new route as a favorite, it is not there. When you click on the star, it turns off the favorite filter and your new route and session should appear.

I've never noticed any stars, gold or otherwise, in Driver. I promise to pay more attention in future, and investigate further. Thanks.

I didn't delete the train and did save the session (it's still available in Surveyor); thanks for the info about Driver2.

The gold star mentioned above is a 'feature' only found in TS2010. It restricts the list of usable assets to those that are rated 5 stars. Making it a default 'ON' setting in TS2010 is one of the dummest ideas that N3V/Auran ever came up with, as evident by all the forum posts asking 'Where is the old content...?'

 Ok, on the note of saving routes and sessions, When ever i build a route and save it, the route is there in the routes list.....until I exit the game completely. Then when I re-open the game it is gone. I have tried the star thing. But it doesn't work, it still is not there, I know I have to use the content manger to make it work but I do not understand how......PLEASE HELP ITS HOURS OF WORK DOWN THE DRAIN.

I have TRS2010. thanks for you time.

P.S. If u describe how to do it.....do it with much detail. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forums L2F.

If you are looking in the Saved sessions, your sessions will not be there.
Go to the Route Editor, and choose Edit Session instead.

If you have trouble saving files, run Trainz as an Administrator. Right click on the short-cut, and choose Run As Administrator. To make this a permenant option, choose properties and compatibility and check the Run as Administrator.
