Saving New Route w/Vista

I'm running Trainz 2006 flawlessly, except that when I try to save a new route, the save looks good until I close and restart. No new route. When I was on XP, saving new routes worked fine. Help

Two ideas to try:

Run Trainz in Administrator mode.
Disable Vista's dreaded UAC.

I think you right-click on each exe file and then there's an option. Someone who has Vista will doubtless correct me if necessary.
