Saving Driver AI commands in TRS2004

Hi, This might have an obvious answer, but I can't find it: In TRS 2004, how do I save Driver AI commands from one session to another. I can save consists, and switch between them in Driver, but when I program a list of commands for a driver (e.g. "go to Trackmark x, wait x Seconds, then go via Trackmark Y", etc) I cannot find a way to save these for a future driving session. This means every time I load Driver, I have to program each consist over again!

Could the SCHEDULE LIBRARY RULE, kuid2 192081:12:4 do the job? I recall looking at it about 9 months ago, but never tried it. I figured I wanted more variation, but this might do the trick. You can combine it with the COPY COMMAND RULE. Just a guess......... .

What version of TRS2004 are you using? This was the initial problem, and this was fixed with a later service pack. I think the latest SP4 has this in it. You make up your list of commands in Surveyor for each AI consist by editing your driver assignments, and then when you go into driver the commands are there for every session. You can then modify them in Driver if you wish, but they won't save. In order to keep the changes, you'd have to note what you did, and go back into Surveyor to save them.

Hope this helps,

John

I checked the version number - it is Version 2.4 (build 2370) As far as I am aware, I do not need SP4 for this version.
As to placing Driver assignments in Surveyor, I'm not sure I've found how to do that. In Surveyor, I can select locos and stock, and convert them into consists, and save them, but a way of writing Driver commands eludes me.

G'day das 55007,

You can set-up and save various 'driver commands' for any given route from the Driver Command Set-up menu, located by clicking the Driver Command Button (the little icon that looks like a sheet of paper with writing on it), next to the Driver icon near the top left hand corner of the menu bar, whilst you are still in Surveyor. When you then enter a Driver session (or leave the route), the changes thus made will be saved for all eternity!

Top left look for edit session in the drop down list. The window that appears first will allow you to add new rules by clicking the add at the bottomof the window, a double click on any rule will place it in the first window you opened. From this window click any of the rules in the scroll down window and it will highlight blue. Click driver commands, it turns blue, now click the edit at bottom of window. This shows all commands that are available to you. Place a tick in the box of all the ones you want to use. Click the green tick to finish edit. now do the same with driver setup. You will find drivers placed for your consists, you can add or change engines and names. You also place the drivers commands in this section against the chosen driver. click the green tick to exit the edit session.

Thanks to all for your advice, I seem to have got the hang of it now. It does make the game more interesting when it works!! Much appreciated.

Regards,

Dave S.
