Sandpatch route help

Hello I recently downloaded the Sand Patch (Csx Keystone Subdivision) route from Trainz Pro Routes and all the dependencies but when I click on this route in surveyor I get an error screen saying that some of my stuff is faulty and It gave me three options and I chose the "Don't show me this message again and something about how to show the message in CMP. Now when I try to access the route It loads for a sec then the little gear thing just pauses for like 20 minutes. I really need help because I really want to run Chessie trains on this route and I have service pack 1 installed.

Check in the CMP which assets are faulty, missing, or are dependencies, and post them here...I am using TRS2006, and found the route worked fine, asside from being set in blinding white snow, which could be retextured. It is very realistic ! Especially at Sandpatch Tunnels, where I railfan...what ever happened to that old Sandpatch Screenshots thread by the way ?

1 Question? Do I need to get the session and its dependencies because that might be the problem.

Are you in compatability mode? (I am assuming you are running 09) If not, then faulty items won't show up.

Since I only saw the "gear thing" in TRS2006, I guess that is what you are trying?

In any CMP, select 1 Faulty item, right-click it then choose View Errors & Warnings or something like that and the window that comes up shows what specifically is wrong with that item. using this information, you can fix most items.

For your list of Faulty items, you would need to mention what is wrong with them. To save time, when the window of Errors/Warnings comes up, you can select the whole list, right-click and choose Copy (only choice) then paste the list into Notepad or something similar. Sometimes I do that with items to keep straight what I need to fix, a bit time consuming but works. Also makes pasting information easier into posts.

How do you fix the faulty item? (I must be really dumb to ask this question.)

Downloading sessions for that route will not change or fix your faulty items, it would probably give you more faulty kuids .
Fixing the faulty kuids is done using CMP. Display the list of faulty items in CMP then start down the list, one by one. Right click a faulty kuid like (Kuid2:93677:400400:2) and select View Errors & Warnings to get a list of what's wrong. For example the first kuid on you list gives this error window:
Error: The tag 'desription' is not permitted within this container. (Container type 'obsolete-track')
Tags are in the kuid's config.txt file. To get to it, right click on the kuid in CMP and select Edit - Edit in Explorer which will open new window listing the files for the kuid. There is a mesh file (.im), graphics (.bmp and .tga) and text files (.txt). Double left click the config.txt file will open it in Notepad so you can edit it. Finding the line with the bad tag shows:
desription "Road USA Double Yellow"
The obvious fix is to correct the spelling of desription to description. Save and close Notepad, close the Explorer window of files and then click on Kuid2:93677:400400:2 and press Ctrl M to commit it. If all goes well the red ! mark is gone. Only 23 to to:wave: .

The error of the misspelled tag "description" is a duplication of the original tag, inserted automatically.

In '06 &'09 CCP, you can delete the misspelled tags.

It works.

Well when I go into Content Creator Plus and I delete the tags associated with the item being faulty and I commited the changes It works.

And now only 1 problem The Cross roads Bar-B-Q is faulty because its textures cannot be loaded for some reason.

Cross roads Bar-B-Q, if textures cannot be loaded, select the item and hit Shift-Ctrl-E. When the folder opens look for missing image files.

Are there any .TEXTURE.TXT files that do not have image files with the same name (example, pole.texture.text and pole.tga is fine but door.texture.text without a door.tga or door.jpg, etc. image is a problem). Most of the time you can delete the .TEXTURE.TXT file missing an image without error, then try commiting again.

.TEXTURE.TXT files will have .texture in their name in Windows Explorer.

1 last thing the Wal_Mart building by Ronin13 again but with only 2 textures that can not be loaded.

Delete this line:

sign tire & lube color 128 64 2-sighn satisfaction opac 256 32.texture.txt

from the main folder and the nite folder. Then save and commit.

That did the trick.
