Safest Railroads,Signals, and Crossings = Norfolk Southern???

Yes, I'll say they are a safe railroad, they also support rail safety too. The come every year to Monticello Railway Museum's "Railroad Days" event with Operation Lifesaver. They also use MRM equipment for their safety express.

Check this out that MDoT (Michigan Dep't of Transporation) is testing in Van Buren Township, MI!

Notice that at one point the posts do not go down and a worker has to use his foot to push it down. Mind you this is in testing / development.

I think this system would prevent people from driving around as much as is humanly possible.

But nice to know that NS has such a good safety record!

I can't say that Norfolk Southern is the safest, due to the fact that I didn't read the link, LOL. Anyway, I have to say that NS is the best Class 1 railroad out there, for anyone who lives in PA and know's about railcamp, I'll be going there in about two years over the summer. Hopefully be working for them by 19!!! But that's a long time away. GO NORFOLK SOUTHERN!!!
