Running locomotives on surveyor created layouts

I've created a portion of a line in surveyor, and when I run it in driver, the throttle doesn't hold in position... it keeps going back to idle... unless I hold the "W" button down and running at full speed... which basically means that I have no control of the throttle. what am I doing wrong?

The preloaded routes seem to work fine.

It could be the engine you are using. Besides that I have no Idea.

No, it doesn't seem to be that.... i went back to a locomotive that i used in the 2004 version of trainz and it did the same thing. Thanks for the response though.

oh... am I bad. Anyone that reads this... The Conrail SD-70 doesn't seem to work right. I had a couple of these units loaded and nothing worked right when they were on. once deleted, things seems to run fine

The sd-70`s that come with the game don`t work until you fuel them up first. Just go into surveyor and under rolling stock click properties and then click on the loco and you can set the amount of fuel it has as well as the amount of traction sand.
