Routes not shown in Driver

I've just installed Routes 1 and 2 from their CDs and although the new routes show up in the Surveyor option they do not appear under the Driver option.

As a complete newcomer to Trainz I'm not sure where I go from here. Do I have to 'commit' the routes in order to be able to use them?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have the routes got sessions?

(In Trainz Railway Sinulator 2006 and Trainz Classics they're shown in []s.

It would be like this "route name [0]" means that route name has 0 sessions)

So for the route to show up in driver you would have to create a locomotive.
