Questions
a) When in driver, maximum speed in top right hand corner indicates 40 mph, what sets this maximum?? and can it be changed??

Hi,

This is just the default setting. If you pass a speedboard then it will change. Speedboards can be found in the Trackside section of the Tracks tab in Surveyor. They go in the Route layer.

For those of you who are not aware: If you pass a speed sign that shows a lower speed than your current set speed, the speed will change as the locomotive passes the sign. If the speed board shows a higher speed setting, then the entire consist must pass the speed sign before the speed changes.
