Hello! I have a question: would it be possible to save an edited route in an earlier format? I mean, TRS22 currently saves in build 5.6, but would it be possible, like Word, to also save in build 5.0?
You can sometimes get lucky by editing the route config.txt file to change the build value from a higher number to a lower one and still have the route work. But be aware that the build number determines the level of compliance testing Trainz will perform on a loaded route. Generally the higher the build number the tougher the compliance tests and later builds have features that will not work in lower build routes. Also the greater the difference between the original and edited build numbers increases the chances that the edited route will fail and produce error messages.
