Route Building

Hi Guys. Can someone please tell me what has happen with my route. I was building on my route in trainz 2009 when we had a power failure. When I then started the trainz again, and went into the route that I was building and where I was when the blackout happened then half of what I had build was not there any more and that goes for the whole route. I am missing a lot of what I had build. How can that happen ,because now I have lost interest in keep building this route as it would take me so much effort and time to [ rebuild ] it again. Regards. Tonny. [ herlev ]

Hi Herlev, This happened to me a few times - and I was able to recover the route by using a session save, give that a try. Butler57

Hi everyone. The same thing happened to me when previously building a route on my trainz2012 based on the former prototype 1847-1968 GER line through Wisbech East.

Since then, I now use a USB memory stick to back up both my route and also any downloaded content from the DLS on a regular basis. I back up my new route and associated downloaded DLS content onto one of my USB sticks in a folder named 'Trainz2012 my route'. If you later lose your route or DLS content, simply go on your content manager and click to import the CDP files from a named folder on your flash stick back into your Trainz database. I haven't had any problems with this method although occasionally some of my imported content has to be re-committed back into my Trainz2012database

Many regards

Andy

Hi Guys/ Thanks for your reply's, well all the things that I lost I had already saved long time ago it was only maybe one or 2 things that I didn't save but all the stuff that has disappeared has been on the route for a long time, thats what I cant understand. thanks again for your replies Tonny . { herlev \

Can you explain what exactly disappeared? Was it scenery things, track, or actual rolling stock and locomotives? Because I've had rolling stock and locomotives disappear from my routes before, for no reason that I can think of. One session they are there the next one, all is gone. It can be frustrating.

Hi Thanks for your reply. Yes well just about everything in different places like trees buildings backgrounds scrubs anything you can think of even the protective fence around the signals and all road intersection, I really don't know what happen and all the missing stuff that I put on the route are still all in content manager .Regards. herlev

Hi Tonny,

Check in Content Manager for missing dependencies. These items could be marked faulty, or are now open for edit. This could have been caused by the crash.
