Hi o knowledgeable ones. Been doing trainz 2006 for a couple of years - wonderful entertainment. For some reason on occasions rolling stock turns white but returns after a while or on game restart. Guv BR Blue (KUID 2: 142454:15002:6), however is now permanently white. I have redownloaded it to no avail. Thought it might be a video card problem, but my computer is supposedly well up to the speciified required operating specs. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jules

Hi Jules,

If you have checked the rollingstock in CMP and it does not show any errors it could be a heat problem. Possibly your graphics card is getting hot or your CPU. If either of these get too hot they will start to shut down to reduce the load. Check for dust buildup in the fans and the heatsinks.

Cheers,

This item of rolling stock is set up incorrectly; for texture switching to work properly an asset needs a texture to switch from and to. The from texture is missing in the main asset, therefore it shows white.

Our group have recently uploaded a set of CCTs- in progress is a new longer GUV (new mesh, not a reskin), all in matching BR blue project colours.

There are many more assets with exactly this problem, all are fixable by dropping in the missing textures.

Like Bill69 said... I have several BIG routes with a lot of detail. Occasionally some of my Locomotives or rolling stick will "go white." When that happens, it's because there is too much going on in the session and the graphics card is getting overloaded. A computer restart or eliminating some assets will usually fix the problem.
