Hi Guys.

Im far into making my quarry layout, when i note that NONE of my Hoppers or gondolas can actually load Sand.
Which is the main product in my quarry.
All the other products is no problem.
Anybody know a neat railcar for this?

Just add it into the config.txt file as an allowable product on the hopper.

I tested 4 sand products which work fine

I tested some but not all of my hoppers HT series, Covered Hopper 4 bay & 3 bay on 4 types of sand product which all work for me. I have noticed that even hoppers that don't have a specific product on the available on the list (list can be viewed in surveyor by using the rolling stock tool ? button and pointing to an individual hopper or gondola)usually will pick up a product if the product is in the product library. Most of my products came from LLJ product packs. Thats where I suspect the sand products came from. To use some rolling stock like the HT series 2 bay hoppers you need to add "sand" to each individual car's product list. Painfully time consuming but necessary.

Hope this helps. I have enjoyed your contributions to Trainz and the forum.

btw why are you still posting in fear?

You may find that some of your items of gondolas and hoppers may be configured to carry sand if you use the technique described here:

http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials_TRS2004/LARS-ProtoLARS-TutTRS.htm

Instead of tanks, use the bulk product sand.

However, unless the config.txt script has been correctly written, the visible product may still show as coal, even though it is carrying sand.

One gondola that will certainly show sand is the one by AltoDave. Look for kuids 46075:15900 and 46075:15902 (the second needs the first).

These gondolas are HIGHLY interactive and can be used to cary almost any product (liquids excluded, of course).
