In the even that there are no cars, you may need to edit the config.txt for your route and put in the KUIDs for your vehicles. These are no longer scenery automobiles, but instead are listed as trackside items. I am not sure if there are any made already, but scenery autos can be adapted using the super adaptor.
Thank you. But it's too late now. I lost the entire route because the "map kuid is unknown". Three months of work and almost thirty boards of detailed work is gone. I lost it all when I did an extended database repair.

Trainz TS12 also creates backups too. Check in the User Data backups folder and you can go back at least a week. Maybe with a bit of luck, your route is still there.

Thanks, John. Actually, I didn't lose the route. It's still here but it won't load due to the "unknown" map kuid. I did find the backups but don't see how to open them.
P.S. Actually I think what I'm seeing is backups for sessions, not the route itself. The route does not show up in CMP like the last session does.
At this point I'm not sure I want to start again. Trainz has never run without frequent freezes and jerky motion on my PC. I've tried everything but over-clocking my video card and nothing seems to help.

First, save the old route to a CDP file and note that it has an error. That error still may be fixable but start with a backup.
Next, click File->Import Content and navigate to the backup folder that you think has a recent copy of your route and let it import that, overwriting the existing copy if needed (which is why I said to save the CDP of the faulty copy).
You should be good to go. With a little luck, you may not have lost any work or at least much.
As for freezes and jerky motion, you might want to post to the Parts and Labour section with some specs and whatnot. However, an interim solution that helps a lot of people with the herky-jerky operation is to disconnect from the internet, any network shares, disable the anti-virus software, firewalls, etc.
