Replacing Speedtrees in TANE

i have speedtree v7 but when i try to update a tree it says i need to config the .smp file, how the bleep do i do that

on the original topic: it really is too bad that N3V couldnt just make us something quickly to aid in replacing the trees since they knew we would have to do it to begin with. there should have been a straightforward replacement option instead of just letting us figure it out, or saying use ts12 and replace them. i think that is pretty much the farthest from realistic hope though. good luck.

So I've used several replacement trees from the creators listed in this thread. One thing I've noticed is they seem static. They don't move slightly in the breeze. This was a very nice realistic effect with pofig's old speedtreez.

Is there something in need to configure in TANE for this effect or are the newer versions just static?

Which trees?

I have the RMM trees on my Gloucester route and with the wind settings up in the "normal" range the trees blow to one side periodically as though they get hit with a gust. This is very appropriate for an the coastal venue this route is in.

Mostly the RMM trees. Maybe I need to look at my wind settings again.
