is the swap to be made in Surveyor or in CM (a permanent swap)
In TS12 in surveyor go to the Menu, select Replace assets. Then:
drag the asset or assets (you can select more than one) to be replaced in the current layout from the Object selector drop down list into the larger left hand box
drag the asset that is to take its place (there can be only one) from the Object selector drop down list into the smaller right hand box
If the replacement is to be made on the currently active (where the yellow NSEW marker is located) baseboard then click Current Selection, otherwise the replacement will be made throughout the entire layout
Click OK
If there are a lot of replacements to be made (e.g. enough trees to fill a forest the size of Siberia) then expect a long delay or even a system crash.
There are a couple of exceptions - double track splines and certain other objects cannot be replaced by this method.
