Realistic Rivers

Hello everyone,

Back a few years and maybe a few versions there was a moving river segment that looked like Rapids if you positioned well. I can’t seem to find it on the DLS. Anyone know where is can find it or have other recommendations for realistic moving Rapids or mountain streams?

thanks!

Search the DLS for the username cyberstorm. Make sure you also put a checkmark in the checkbox next to 'TRS2004'.

Thanks so much! I found the stationary ones but do you know about the moving ones. There is a 40m Rapids but there used to be a flat segment that moved too

These are some of Cyberstorm's animated waters

Good Info,

I found some invisible River Track he made too, for Drive able Boats........

And for one of my Swiss Routes, he has Swiss Buildings too, so now I have some more variety too add on my Norway Flam Route I'm playing with.........

Don't forget the water in TANE now looks better and will if you're careful, self adjust between different levels when you have a "join" between two heights. Still can't do sloped water. For distant rivers or small streams a texture painted on the terrain can be effective.

There some nice splines on the DLS. Fluss splines by Lothar.

<kuid2:68787:37010:4> Fluss10mmitBoeschung
<kuid2:68787:37020:4> Fluss20m
<kuid2:68787:37101:4> Fluss100mohneBoeschung
<kuid2:68787:37021:4> Fluss20mohneBoeschung
<kuid2:68787:37030:4> Fluss30m
<kuid2:68787:37031:4> Fluss30mohneBoeschung
<kuid2:68787:37040:5> Fluss40m
<kuid2:68787:37081:4> Fluss80mohneBoeschung
<kuid2:68787:37041:4> Fluss40mohneBoeschung
<kuid:68787:37080> Fluss80m

They're transparent enough so that underlying textures show through and the T:ANE water can be adjusted to match these pretty well. I use these for those places where neither the textures nor the water plain work.

Cyberstorms rapids are still there and they work as such but you have to tidy up the configs a bit and bring them up to Tane standard. I thought he had updated them already or perhaps intended to. Mine work but I had to kick them back to life again.
