So I add all the BN locos and rolling stock I want. I press download all and noting happens. What is going on?

For about 20 to 25 dollars, you can get a 1-year First Class Ticket (FCT), which will give you 1 whole year of ultra DLS access. Unlike the free server, which is being choked to death (as SuperFudd said), and which has extremely slow download speeds of around 4 kilobytes a second (kb/s), a First Class Ticket will give you premium DLS access, without having to chance it at getting access, and will give you rocket-fast 200-400 kb/s download speeds, which are important, as multi-megabyte assets (such as locomotives, routes, and the route's dependencies) can take a long time to download without an FCT. With an FCT, how ever, the download just zooms on through.

It says I have one throuhg August by my virtue of the purchase of Trainz 2010. One other questuon, in the downoads ledger, there is a Paintshed reskin icon along with an alert apostrophe. Do I need to do something to rectify that? Thanks.
The Paintshed warning is just that. These rolling stock items may not be supported in future versions of Trainz, but will work fine with what you are using now.
Once you enable your FCT, go back into CM and clear the download queue and redownload your selected assets.

When I uploaded the game, some rolling stock was listed in the gallery functon but would not actually appear. Why is this?

Yes - click Profile above, then click Edit Account - you will find the change password option in there.

What's hyperspace? This isn't rocket science...yeah, all you have to do is go to your Profile in the bar at the top of this page, login in, and "change" your password to the same one you have now. It should kick in.
BTW, the current system allows you to buy a ticket on sale and activate it later. If they adopted a simpler system like many other companies do, you wouldn't be able to do that.

DId so--will see if this works. ... I downloaded most stuff a la cart but wil try downoading all to get what I missed. NOte that the BN caboose and other stuff is still listed among my inventory, but does not show up in the railyard.
Either faulty, check in Content manager or you need to click the Yellow star in the routes menu so it turns black and untick "Display favourite content only" in Surveyor options otherwise you only get a limited selection of what N3V decided were our favourites...............

How do I rectify faulty downloaded content?
There's a thread in the TS2010 forum called "A listing of assets and how to fix them." The vast majority of the "faults" are just typos in the config.txt file or an extra/unneeded texture file. It's fun and a good skill to learn. Right now the first wave of fixing assets on the DLS is wrapping up, so, eventually, most of the errors should go away. But there's lots of stuff on third-party websites that probably won't be brought up to 09/10 compliance, which is why I say it's good to know how to fix stuff yourself.
