I was looking at the plow that Rail4pete painted, and had this thought...
"There is one on the DLS, one of the narrow gauge ones fitted with standard gauge trucks. Steam powered with a tender. Be a hoot to re do it so the blades spun and some steam twinkles that could be controlled to simulate thrown snow. Could also give it some rudimentary controls and mate it up with a covered wagon b unit......I believe Klinger made this unit.
I have a pic somewhere of the SP last year of steam driven rotaries.... Or was it in my collection of recent R&Rs?
Speaking of snow, to bad someone couldn't figure out how to make snow a commodity, have that commodity show up on a spit of industry track, have a plow load it and unload it....Snow production rate could be set up at the beginning of the session to determine how much you have to remove.....then you could have snow plow ops.....
Heck, you could make it weigh nothing and unload it at the end of the run on another piece of industry track...."
I think I am out of my mind......
