Hi Chris
RailDriver is most certainly supported with Trainz Simulator 12. Unfortunately, there are some bugs in the drivers for it from PIEngineering, which leave enginespecs open for edit (might be only on 64bit operating systems?), and they have not yet updated it to work with steam locomotives.

You can download the latest drivers from the RailDriver website: http://raildriver.com/

Chris,

The only engine specs it leaves open for edit are ones which have not been added to the Raildriver's database of enginespecs which is simple to do. For the record it also worked fine with steam enginespecs in TS12 until SP1. A partial fix for this was released (very promptly) by N3V, but the reverser still does not work and any pleas I have made since for clues as to when/if this issue will be resolved have been diligently ignored. Fingers crossed it will be fixed in HF4.

Regards,

Anthony

I borrowed a good friend's Raildriver for a while and I was disappointed that it did not work properly with steam loco's, otherwise it works ok and I will think about getting one when it is fixed to work properly.

Hey guys; there is a thread started back on Oct. 25, 2012. "Possible Resolution for Raildriver Steam Engine Problem". I think a few of the problems were taken care of.

Cheers....Rick

Yes, that's the one that sorted evrything but the reverser for TS12 SP1 - you still have to add the enginespec kuids to the Raildriver's database as well for them to work.

went to the site and I downloaded whar I thought was the right one and off I went
But alas I was wrong (yet again)

How do you add the engine spec kuids to the database? I run Jointed Rail's Dash 9's, and they are always open for edit after I run a session. Thank you......
