Question to AURAN/N3V re the Trainz Collector's Edition....

It strikes me as odd, that until very recently this edition of the Trainz Collector's Edition for sale had still 8 Golden Tickets left (about 3 weeks or so ago). Now of course, you only have 7 Golden Tickets left to be claimed or still left in the unsold portion of your 2000 copies you have made available for sale. Does that mean you were possibly holding out on us early birds, who paid in advance big bucks to get this edition for us.

I am NOT complaining about the initial price I paid for it, for me it was worth to get this edition.

As a matter of fact, I bought 2 of these editions, just to help and subsidize you with Trainz. But as said, your initial printing of this edition were 2000 copies for sale. Obviously, you haven't sold all of these copies yet and you have not made another reprint/release of the Trainz Collector's Edition or these original 10 Golden Tickets would have been found already.

Now lets do a little math here, by the law of average, you would be selling one copy of the Trainz Collector's Edition with a Golden Ticket per 200 copies sold. 10 GTs times 200 copies of the TCE equals 2000 copies of the TCE in total. Does this mean, you have only sold 400 copies of the TCE until very recently? I think just some 3 weeks or so ago there were still 8 GTs left to be found or claimed. By the look of how many people here just in this forum claimed to have registered a TCE in their avatar region, this seems to be more than the required editions sold to at least some of us, who have bought one of these, who might/could have been claiming a Golden Ticket. I opened a thread some time ago, in regards to who might have gotten a Golden Ticket when buying the Trainz Collector's Edition, no one posting there claimed to have received one of these GTs.

I also understand, some people might buy one of these Trainz Collector's Editions and never register this, I also understand if one of us regular members having bought your fine Trainz Collector's Edition, they would have screamed from the rooftops to have found one of these Golden Tickets, well, probably not from the rooftops but at least some of these members would have posted something to that effect here in this forum. I can not recall anyone here or possibly in any other of the language Trainz forums/foras to have claimed a Golden Ticket.

How do you know that at present there are still exactly 7 Golden Tickets left in the remains of the Trainz Collector's Edition still for sale? Not everyone winning one of these Golden Tickets might be claiming it. Can you please explain?

Thanks for your interest, and for your support on Trainz. We appreciate our fans, especially ones like yourself who have such a keen interest in the franchise.

For some reason, I think you're looking for a villain in a place where there isn't one. There's a really simple explanation as to why the majority of golden tickets have yet to be claimed, they haven't been found yet. Random, by its definition, means that its going to defy your given example of averages.

If you're concern is about people purchasing the collectors edition and not claiming the tickets, unfortunately we can't do anything about that. While we would love everyone to get in contact with us if they receive a ticket, we can't guarantee that everyone will.

I'm with you Vinny, loved the game, loved the company, bought both 'standard' and Limited Edition version of TS12, no joy on the ticket, but now its come *way* down in price, makes me wonder if I shouldn't have been patient *chuckles*

Thank you for taking the time for a reply and for YOUR explanation. I am certainly not looking for a "villain" here, I am just wondering how AURAN/N3V can still claim with a straight face, there are still 7 Golden Tickets to be won, should someone buy from whatever is left to be sold.

Simple really :p.

Cheers
