question for you trainz model creaters

ive been trying to use blender for about a year now,and still i have trouble using it.theres not that many tutorials on how to use it for trainz.ive been trying to get down on how to create simple object like a house or a cup,but it still is troubling.I have been woundering though,for you people who use Gmax/Blender/etc. how long does it take to build not the best train,but a all around good train? i know some people who to do in a week,a month,or even a year.but on average,if you have moderate free time,how long does it take for you to build a model train?

I have a coach that has been a work in progress for more than a year. I had a technical problem with a texture that took a long time to sort out.

The simple UK vans probably a month or more for the first one to get approved by my beta tester but after that just putting new skins on them maybe a few days or so each and that was getting them double checked by the beta testers.

You should be able to do the following tutorial to get a moving house on the track within a week. Do it a step at a time.
