I am new to this game. I just downloaded it and everything installed fine. My only concern is that when I go to drive around or do a scenario I get this screen.

and then for some reason "Trainz" just stops working. I have no idea why. Can someone help me. I tried the search and nada. Also my video card is a ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5. Sorry if this is in the wrong section also.

Hi Matthew4ea: First of all Welcome..It looks like to me you need to data base repair..The next thing I would do check your Drivers..I also need to know what you are running??2002,2006,2009,2010. And what Build..

Bob Cass:) :)

I am running Trainz 2010 and computer wise build is as follows:

Dell Studio XPS 9000, Win7(home edition) 64bit
Intel core I7-960 Processor (8mb L3 cache, 3.2GHZ)
9GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz
1 TB Serial ATA 2 Hard Drive 7200RPM

I just went to do a scenario and it says that I don't have old version so it wouldn't let me play. It then said I had 35 updates.I tried to download them but connection to the server was interrupted. Also I don't have a option to do tutorials.

Mattew4ea: First I have to tell you I'm Running 2009 so I don't think I can be much help to you, but I'll try..Are you runnig Dx or Open GL??Are you registered to Auran??You might also check to see if you have the current DX..If not you can download from Micro.com..The other thing you can is unistall, Install..If all else fails contact the "Helpdesk"..

The option was set on Open GL when I first looked. I changed it to DX. I am registed on Auran. My computer says Direct x11 is installed also.

Bob Cass was on the right track (no pun intended!). Go into Content Manager and do an Extended Database Repair. Do this at least three times. You may also which to

Try OpenGL. However, I should mention that TS reportedly seems to favor nVidia cards, since they handle OpenGL better than ATIs do, and that (seems) to be what Trainz favors.

Also go into CM and do Extended Database Repair three times. Then go to Search and see if anything is fault (there is a selection box that lets you filter on criteria such as Name, Kuid, Author, etc.) If so, click on one item and then select everything (CTRL-A should work) and right-click. Select View Dependencies. Usually, this procedure should clear out errors. The aforementioned procedure got TS2010 for me from not running at all to smooth as butter!

FYI, some suggest you should do an Extended Database Repair before applying a Trainz service pack.

Okay I took Bob's advice and uninstalled and reinstalled and now it works with tutorials and everything. Thanks for your help guys.
