Did I get your name right? My memory chips keep falling out of my brain. My question is, are you going to do some of Ben Neals BL-2's in Monon? I saw the Western Maryland's and like to had a heart attack. I have been trying ever since Ben put it the download station to repaint it Monon. I even wrote him, and he sent me back instructions how to do it, but even then, all I get is a black image. Not surprising, I've been playing with Gmax for two years and still can't build a simple house. If you are going to paint some Monon, that would be great. They'd go great with jetstreamsky's Monon F-7's I downloaded several years ago. Also, any chance you could do alpha numbering on them? Monon had nine of them numbered 31 thru 39. Let me know if you are going to paint some of them Monon, and I'll keep an eye out. Thanks.

Wow, I really need to get on here more often...

Funny you mention Monon...

Although I wanted to finish the fireball WM BL2's first, those curved stripes are as real @#$%&. If I can find the font, I have a BL2 in C&O's delivery scheme all done.

My next BL2 target was the Monon. Years ago, when I made those RS3's and C420's, I had started reskinning the F7 and SW7 in Monon colors, too. I had interest in making the Lance Mindheim (sp?) trackplan published in Model Railroader magazine.

Alas, I went other ways. These items are still sitting in my "Paint Shop" folder where I keep my projects. (Not to be confused with the Trainz application, "Paint Shed".)

So to answer your question....I can certainly bump it up my list since there is some interest. I wonder, since I'll be working with gold and black, what other interesting projects I can do. No C628's or U23B's in Trainz, and Monon didn't buy second generation EMD's, so imagination will be needed. Preferably something that shows up in Trainz Objects Explorer...

When Alco was making the C628, EMD had the SD35 out and switching over to the 645-engine...and GE was building the U23B to compete with EMD's GP38/AC/-2 line...and of course, one could always look to the L&N roster for ideas.

IIRC, didn't the SW1500's of the Kentucky & Indiana Terminal look a little bit like Monon engines?

Yes, it is Funny you mention it.
As you mentioned the C628s, that made me think about the LV.
LV bought all of Monon's Used C628s, because Monon had no use for those powerful brutes, and they just tended to keep rising the matinence costs of the tracks, since their heavy and un-even trucks tended to do hell on them.
Cheers,
Sean
PS.
Someday, if i am ever good in Gmax, i would love to create a set of 628s, 630s, and 636s, but it will take lots of time, and expirementation to get one actually looking like a 628.

Adam

I was looking at Chesapeake & Ohio Plan #88 2B and #88 alt and wondered where I could get hold of 45588:15488
kuid2:45588:15093:1

If you could add them to the list as well I would be grateful.
Thanks

Cheerio John
