Question about Vista

My question is about web pages ( forum included ).

My computer seems to pause a lot while something is loading on the web page. Especially pages with advertisements. The forum is just as bad. Iv'e already had to stop and wait to continue typing. I'll be typing along and look up only to find half of the sentence I have typed is missing. Even the little icons at the right quit moving. Is this a setting in my browser I can change, or should I try a different borwser? Any help appreciated.

I use firefox on dial up, and seems to be reasonable, and set it up as you want..... Barry.........

Hi Jack. You can also integrate add ons etc into it. I have DownthemAll for downloading when I click Tools........... Barry........
