Question about the forums?

Ihave never heard of a "dirty forum" before and I,m guessing it has something to do with sex. As these forums are dedicated to Trainz I fail to see why we need to have a sex forum, unless it is something along the lines of the mile high club only you do it on a 100 mph train.
As for the use of profanity on this or any other forum I am totally opposed and would never visit a forum that allowed such practices.

Railroading is a throwback to more innocent times. Sure, there was still violence and indecency from day one, but it wasn't as pervasive nor as accepted as it is today. Model railroading (which is what we are all doing, in case you haven't noticed) is even more romanticized and often harkens back to the days when steam was being replaced by diesel power. That period in time harkens back to a more innocent age, made even more nostalgic as those years are portrayed in movies and television. Many of the members here have fond memories of those times as young adults, or children. They are happy to reminisce of the days when youngsters respected their parents, and neighbors watched and cared for everyone. Those brilliant days when country was important, when people helped one another, when everything was comfortable, familiar and life was good.

We all know what happened over the ensuing years. The media made certain to expose every rotten apple, the population increased, crime increased, and a culture of anti values grew like a virus in a petri dish. Now we've come so far as to embrace thuggery, crime and all the trappings of "wrong". Sex and drugs and "thug life" are celebrated and forced upon us by the media, by advertising and by our poor children who have been indoctrinated their whole life into this brave new world.

Not too many still have principles and live by them. I am heartened to read some of the replies here.

Get your dirt somewhere else, Lord knows it's pervasive enough elsewhere.

At the risk of sounding dumb and green, can someone explain to me what a "Dirty Section" is?

Ahhhh ... Deano. I remember back when I was that sweet and innocent. But now that I am much older (in the "dirty old man" category) and more "world wise" I can tell you that there is nothing more exciting than looking at pictures of an old dirty 0-4-0 shunter blowing a full head of steam as it works the yard ... or a long powerful 4-6-2 Pacific express racing full speed into a tunnel.

Hi All

Just to clarify, the Trainz Forums are a 'G' rated forum, and as such we will not implement any area such as this.
