Question About Content Manager 'Type' Symbols

Scottish

Does anybody know the difference between Content Manager's Type symbols for Routes. Some routes have the normal Route symbol and others have the usual Routes symbol with a blue circle in the bottom corner.

Similarly the Session Type Symbol can either be with or without the blue circle.

It does not seem to used to distinguish between what is built-in or custom routes since both types can sometimes have the blue circle and sometimes not.

I was speculating if it was indicating 'read only' but I do not know.

On another point, does anybody know how to convert a route which is read only to read/write.

The blue circle I think means TS2010 compatible.

For read-only routes, clone the route and use your cloned copy for editing.

The blue circle icon is for any TS2009 asset and above - i.e trainz-build 2.9 and above.

If you import a route and then modify and save it in TS2009/10, it will become at least version 2.9, depending on which specific version/patch you are using.

It doesn't imply that it will run in native mode - it might, but no guarantees.

Just highlight>right click>clone in Content Manager to copy a read-only route, or alternatively do a "save as" when it's loaded in Surveyor.
