Qr steam loco distances needed

can somebody tell me how far a c15, a c17 and a beyer garratt could go on their coal and water please

Figures would be dependant on how tough the line is (grades, curves), what sort of load, how the crew are driving her, quality of fuel/water and (last but not least) the individual loco's 'temperament'...

If you're really lucky, some of the steam drivers/firemen might be able to give you some help with this one.

hi mate
at the moment the beyer garratt will only do rockhampton to bundaberg.
something like 7700 units of coal

i want to make it a realistic run if i can
