QR/BR Calling-On Signals

Hi there

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to get the calling-on signals on the QR and BR signals working. These are the signals that were built into TRS2006 (QR04, BR05, UK 3 Aspect Call On... etc). I've imagined that I can use them in some situations to signal a train into a loop instead of feathers, e.g. Holmview Cattle siding for those that know Brisbane. But just having them working at all would be useful. If anyone knows what I must do I'd love to know. Thanks

Ryan

You can't.If you type Username "bloodnok" into the DLS he has made an extensive range of UK pattern signals with working Calling On aspects and Theatre Signs.

In a session you can't. But you can, if you use the SCS2006 (Scenario Creation System) rule from TrainzProRoutes. By calling a "Set Signal State Extended" command this will force the signal to display the aspect you want it to, whether this is a junction feather, a red when the section ahead is clear or even a proceed aspect when it isn't. The proceed can be either a regular Y, YY, G light or the elusive "Calling On" lights. The signal does need to be built to display the Calling On, which afaik Bloodnok's otherwise excellent UK signal don't...

Where are they? Please tell, they're not on the VSR site... are they?

Railwaves do a Payware signal pack here. This includes Calling-On capable signals, with the lights lit depending on the route set.
Its limitation is that each route indication can only be used with either main aspect or calling-on. Thus (for example) while you can get a calling-on into a siding, you cannot get a train signalled into Platform 1, with a Y signal and a 1 on a theatre indicator, followed by a loco to attach to the rear also signalled into P1 with a calling-on and the 1 on the theatre.
This, and the fact that is payware, is the only disadvantage, but it will work fairly simply.

"Davidbird" I can't find a link to VSR but if you type "Theatre" into Title on the DLS then click any one of Bloodnoks "Signal_Theatre" assets then Pack it will take you there.

Lewisner, I'm stuck finding Calling-On lights for Bloodnok's signals. I've used them in my own routes, and understand the system of using the targets. But, they are only for main route indications and not for Calling-On. There is no "Calling-On Target" or a mesh for the Calling-On head needed to display the lights in the pack you refer to on the DLS.
IIRC, there has been quite a bit of discussion about Calling-On in the the "Signalling" thread over on the UKTrainz forum.
If the VSR signals did have Calling-On, they'd just about be perfect!

Oh sorry my bad then..:( ...in my own route I only have a dozen Colour Lights, but I bought the UK railsim (I think) Pack a few years ago but didn't re install it after a PC crash.
