Problems with Santa_Fe_120ft_Turntable

After experimenting with some turntables, I really like Santa_Fe_120ft_Turntable <kuid2:60238:28004:2>. But I'm having two problems:

1) When the turntable turns, the track "lags" behind the bridge structure and then snaps into position, like it's stuttering or on a ratchet. I was unable to download the dependent track (I believe it was meant for 2010 anyway), so I changed the script to use Generic Track Crossing Asphalt DES <kuid:101046:100407>. Could that be why? If I change the turning speed to slower - assuming I can - would that fix it?

2) I can't get the AI loco to stop on the turntable, I set a track mark with a small radius (0.25) and place an invisible signal, bit the engine stops before it reaches the turntable. I've tried different positions for the mark and signal. I get no errors, and it goes to the turn-turntable command that would align the loco with the outbound track as I want. Can Santa_Fe_120ft_Turntable be used with AI? I'm using the same trackmark/signal/command set-up as with the AJS roundhouse kit. Do I need to be doing something different for this one?

Thanks!

The original turntable was for build 1.5, an old model. On request from msgsapper I used one of his tracks and updated some of the texturing, it then was a build 2.9 model. The required track should be on the DLS.

The stuttering track is a known fault in some Trainz builds, for turntables and transfer tables. The track lags behind the turntable rotation or translation. Almost as if the track says "oops, the turntable has moved, let me try to catch up to it". :)

While the track seems to follow the turntable in TS12, the track keeps vanishing as the table rotates. These are known and reported faults in Trainz, not fixed by Auran.

For turntables, to get a loco to stop on the table you need to have track extending on the far side of the table and I believe you need to place a track mark on this extension in order to "Navigate to". Adjust the radius of the track mark to make the loco stop on the table center. This is the only way I have been able to get ships to navigate to the center of my transfer tables and work correctly under AI.

I was able to finally get the engine to stop on the turntable...trial and error positioning of a tight radius trackmark and then putting a dwarf signal on the end of the turntable track in the direction of travel.

I still have the track lag, but I see that's a known issue. But I've noticed one other oddity. When the engine departs the turntable, it goes to a switch and on one of two tracks to the fueling station. I put a signal just before the split. It tells the engine that it's clear for two blocks, which is correct. But it displays a red light. When I hover the pointer on the signal, it shows clear, the loco moves through, and the cab signal shows correct. This happens no matter what kind of signal I use. They work fine everyplace else but in proximity to the turntable! Even the dwarf signal on the turntable bridge works and displays correctly. I also noticed this same issue with the other AJS turntable, so it's something with the tables.

Strange!
