Problems downloading

Hi there,

I have just received my first copy of trainz 2009 and have been having wonderful fun with it. I had a go at downloading some items using the Content Manager but keep getting this warning: Unable to download. The server appears to be full, please try again. I have been trying for days now but the same warning keeps coming up. Is this a regular problem or as a first timer am I doing something wrong.

Hi Calum,
you'll need to buy a FTC (first class ticket) to download.

thats if you havent one already.

Search these forums for the "server full" message. Long story short, you just have to keep trying. The DLS works sort of like most file-downloading services (rapidshare, hotfile, etc.) in that you get free access, but there are a limited number of slots available and limited speed even when you do get one.

Be sure to rule out a connectivity problem - there's a Network Diagnostic under the File menu of CMP.

Thanks for all your help.

I found that after three days of trying to download it just started and I managed to download all my files in the one hour. It seems you have to wait for a slot but once you get it downloading is pretty fast. I can now get my GWR branch line up and running.
