Problem with Trainz A New Era

i've just got my copy of Trainz: A New Era but .....

i've tryed to update it as i got a pop up message saying theres a update & when i try to do the update 5 mins into the update it just hangs & dose nothing

is there a way i can do a manual Download of the update as im currently on bulid: 74702

What do you mean by 'hangs'? Does it stop responding, or does the bar not appear to move?

That patch is very large (8GB) so it will take time if you've got a slow connection.

It certainly takes a long time. I took a total of 24 hours to download the 8 GB, and it still does not work.
