Problem with the O4/1

I have a problem with the O4/1 for Trainz: it won't show up in game. The reason seems to be because it needs a shadow mesh. What should I do?

Hi,

Go into Content Manager, and right-click on the loco, and click View Errors and Warnings. There must be an error or two, as the shadows warning is just a warning. Warnings should not stop a loco from working. Also check to see if any dependencies are missing.

Kieran.

No dependencies are missing. And here is the message I get:

Warning: This asset requires a shadow mesh, but the mesh table does not contain one.

captainkman is correct, no shadow will not stop an asset from showing in game.
You say there are no deps missing, perhaps one is missing something itself. When you check the deps select show in main list and check them.

I did just that and I can guarantee that all dependencies are not missing any dependencies.

The LNER 04/1 modified has 24 deps so the 04/1 should be the same number, have you the same number?

Sorry for the delay, I meant the same number of dependencies.
I seem to remember something wrong with the high and low vac deps. Not 100% but there was something.

IT turns out that my BR version copy has 26. The others, however, are fine. What should I do?

You don't post the kuid numbers of the locos you're talking about, but if it's either of these:
LNER O4/1 Rod,<kuid2:101839:1020:1>
LNER O4/1 Rod modified,<kuid2:101839:1026:1>
which I just downloaded into TS2010. They both have the shadow warning message but drive fine in Driver. The only fault I found is the headlight won't turn on in the modified loco. They both have 24 dependencies.

In 2009, it is the same with me. The BR version is kuid2:101839:1022:1.

I just downloaded BR O4/1 Rod,<kuid2:101839:1022:1> which commits without errors, just the usual warning about the missing shadow mesh. I tried it in Driver and everything works except in cab mode, the fireman doesn't shovel and the fire door won't open. Are you saying you can't use any of them? What problem are you having?
