problem with junctions

Hi, I'm experimenting with Trains 2006 Surveyor and is currently building my first route, however, when testing the route, I encountered the following error - Unable To Plot Route: Junction is missing lever. I encountered this error in the DCC mode when I tried to drive a train from 1 location to another. How to I solve the problem of the missing lever ?

Appreciate any help that I can get in resolving this issue. Thanks

regards
Ashley

Hi - You either have a missing turnout lever, as it says, or a joint in the track that isn't connected. It can be quite a tedious process to find where the error is:

Firstly, open the map view - zoom in until you see the junctions showing with the red and green route indicators and trace the route, watching for a missing lever or a break in the track.

If you can't find one in the map view, then use the "Stop Train" command to allow you to start driving the train manually towards your objective. Periodically, issue the "Continue Schedule" command to see if you have passed the break point.

If you encounter a turnout with a missing lever, your train will proceed over it but if there's a track break, your train will derail.

...............Unless someone knows a quicker method?

thanks for the hints, may I know how does the junction lever look like ? this is because, the junctions in my route were created when I joined 2 tracks together and the Surveyor automatically created the junction.

Ash ow.
If ( in Suveyor)you place the mouse pointer OVER a junction there should be a Red and Green arrow showing___if not then there is no lever____if you move the mouse pointer along the track away from the junction (in either direction) and you see TWO "RED" arrows this means that there is a lever but NOT in the right position and must be moved back to the Track jctn until the arrows change back to red & green.

The problem can also be caused if you accidentally install 2 levers on top of each other so one of them ends up "dead". If you have a Dead lever both arrows either side of it will be red.

thanks, i do see the red and green arrows on my junctions. However i will check out the other suggestions on this thread 1 junction at a time, it's going to be a long process to troubleshoot this...

Hi all, i just want to say thanks to all that have helped me with the problem, I've managed to find the junction that was causing the problem and now my route works. Thanks once again

I'm very glad you were able to find the faulty Junction,so happy Trainzing.

If you need further help at any time we are always around so don't hesitate to ask.
