problem with filters

before yesterday everything is going normal but now some thing strange is happening
i applied filer"date installed"
but when i try to go to date the calender setting automatically goes to janurary 1st 2012 .i tried to go to march but it wont go ahead of janurary 2012 but it easily goes on down side i.e towards 2011 and below but wont go ahead of janurary
same thing is happening with calender in edit enviroment>session date.it wont go ahead then janurary 2012
any help will be appreciated

I may be way off base here, but presumeably the date comes from the computer's calendar. Has you computer clock/date been reset somehow?

my computer date is ok
few days back when i try to change the session time it was already set to janurary 1 2012 but on computer the date is 7-march 2012

whenever i try to aplly filter"date installed"the date auto matically set to janurary 1 2012 and it wont go ahead of feburary ?
