Problem with Content Manager

Crabby Old Geezer
Everytime lately when I open CMP and click on one of my Filters, it takes a LONG time for CMP to list the items, sometimes as much as 20 minutes or more. It seems Taddaemon is "VALIDATING" each asset, and it does this EVERY TIME:

Is there something I can do to stop this irritating action? I just don't have time to wait on this to finish every time I click on a filter.

Thanks

Unfortunately not, as it's revalidating content. All you can do is wait until it completes.

It's probably a side effect of the current server issues.

This morning I thought I would be safe only to be hit by a further ~11000 assets to be validated. You ave my sympathy but other than ensure you have no assets open for edit when you shut down I know of no way to prevent this occurring. TS12 SP1 HF4 has been unusable for the last few days with this issue.

All due to the DRM server going AWOL, just have to wait for the validation to finish.
Mine started at 4000 and then jumped up to 9000 odd......... Pretty sure that the DRM server is now working again which has triggered the latest validation, only another 3800 assets to validate before I find out ;o)

If you don't have and DLC packs and TS12 HF4, you're all set.

Not exactly true. I sometimes have the same (long hangs when selecting a new tab in CMP) issue with TS2010 CMP3.3 which has no DRM validation what-so-ever.
--I find that if I go surf the forums, or do some other activity for a few minutes, that whatever is "hanging" will finally be "refreshed", and start acting normally for awhile.

I know it is caused by some other issue, but the end result is the same...waiting for my Hobby to cooperate.

Yup. This is definitely not related. I found that if I turn off the antivirus real-time scanning of my TS12 folders and defrag my old platter drive, this issue isn't as bad. It's still there, but not as long a delay which is due to TADDaemon and TranzUtil doing their background stuff as they populate your menus (tabs) for you.
