Problem with AI Loco Change at Terminus

The layout that I am building is planned to be 100% AI.
I am having the following problem:-
1. Loco 1 pulls consist into terminus triggering Loco 2 to wait for 2 minutes and then to drive to terminus to couple with the consist.
2. Loco 1 uncouples.
3. Loco 2 drives to terminus and couples to consist.

My problem is that, whatever I do, I cannot get loco 2 to couple with the consist in the terminus, and I keep getting the message that loco 2 is "waiting for access to track".

I have tried using invisible signals, and "drive to trackmark" commands, but nothing seems to work.

I am using TRS2004

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

At stage 2 does the loco pull away from the consist? If not then give that a try (place another trackmark near the buffers and drive loco to that).

I have found that an invisible signal is required near the platform ends, in addition to one (or a buffer stop = signal) at or beyond the buffers. Positioning of these signals may be critical.

The couple operation may also be affected by the length of the consist.

Have you tried the "Couple at Trackmark" command?

Just some ideas....

I've finally got it working, thanks to your suggestion of using the "Couple at Trackmark" command. Previously, I had been using the straightforward "Couple" command where you designate the consist to be coupled to.

I've also discovered that I didn't need an invisible signal!

So thanks for your help Itareus!
