Problem Driving HST in Cab Mode

I don't claim to be able to drive HST's in real life, but in TS2004 I got on fine.
However, in TS2009 there is a problem!
I'm trying to drive both the built-in HST and the ones bought from Railwaves. Both seem to suffer from the same problem.
From a standing start, with the brakes very certainly off and the reverser definitely not in neutral, I'm hardly getting started. I've learnt that staying in Notch 1 or 2 until I get to 40mph is good, but then climbing through the notches from there just results in an awful sounding squealing like something's gonna break, and the best I can do is 70mph.
Others must have encountered this problem?
Is there a solution? :'(

The performance of the loco is a product of the enginespec kuid. To correct this will require you to either edit the existing enginespec or to replace is with a different one. The easiest method is to drive a variety of Trainz locos that are of similar size to find one you like, then edit the 43's config.txt file to replace the enginespec kuid with the one used in the other loco.

Hi. There is a problem with the the built-in HST in TS2009, so that it slips at 40 mph and won't speed up.

I've written some new engine specs, search under my username. You need to download and swap both power car and coach enginespecs.

Post back if you have any problems.
