Everytime I go into paintshed, my computer freezes up on me and I have to shut it down. Can anyone give me tips or tell me how to fix that probelm?

Thanks

Hello

First of all what is your PC Spec?
Have you got the latest Graphics card drivers installed?
Disable any antivirus or spyware software or any other software running in the background.
What Version of Trainz are you running?
Have you tried running Trainz in OPEN GL or DirectX Mode?
What settings are you using to run Trainz?
What version of windows have you got on your PC?
Have you got MS Net installed?

EndItAll

And before starting Trainz and associated programs use a program like EndItAll to shut down as many background programs as possible, that will free up a lot of 'space' (for want of a better word).

It sounds like a specs thing, not enough disc or ram space.

When I used to start Paint Shed up it would sit for anything up to ten minutes looking like it had locked before actually doing anything. Maybe give it some more time?

Correct

This is perfectly correct. For some odd reason this program often takes a month of Sundays to get going so I am afraid it will seem incredibly slow for most of today's users of fast PCs (me included!).
It might seem as though it has locked so as suggested, give it some time.
I mean, if you're using CMP you'll know all about giving things time....

Paint Shed is a very slooooow program to get started. My system specs are just about the max for XP, and PS has always taken 2 to 3 minutes to load. I did ask the question of Auran a long time ago, and all I got was the usual rubbish, "update drivers" "shut down background programs" etc.

I suggest that when you open PS, you go and make a coffee while waiting. It will come up eventually.

Cheers
