What version of trainz is compatiable with vista and what is the release date for trs09.

'06 and TC3 work fine with Vista for me. Can't say about '04 as I don't have it installed on this laptop.
'09 is supposed to be released in late November.

I have '04, TC3 and the beta '09. I have them all running under Vista without any problems.

The only intractable problem I had was with a third party application called TrainzObjectz. It would not open the correct folder.

There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Basically, you could get any version to run in vista, but there may be big problems. I would recommend only using, as said above, TRS2006/TC3/TS2009BETA

Thanks for the replies ! I have trs06 that needs the patch and could never get it right. So Im looking for the versions that are good to go out of the box. Is there a different version of trs06 that is compatiable without the patch?

If you buy a brand new version of TRS206 then it will have the patch pre-installed.
