Pre-Ordering Trainz 2009

It's nearly time to get your hands on Trainz Simulator 2009: World Builder Edition. What are your current thoughts on pre-ordering?

Yes, I will pre-order. Will there be a digital download option and will it be available at the time TRS2009 goes gold rather than will the boxed version begins shipping?

I'd pre-order - when it's clear what PC specs are usable for the product...

I'd like to buy one, but not if it means an upgrade of the PC and/or the OS.

Currently my PC is fine with 2004, 2006. It's OK wth TC3 - but does suffer in areas of detailed landscape/towns.
If 2009 has more demands, then it's a new PC system (again) and I'm not sure I can justify that for one simulation.

Will more than likely pre-order it. Would hope that the digital download isn't effected by if you have a FCT or not though...

I think I'll wait for both versions to be out, and then see what people are saying about it.

To be honest, I'm quite happy with what I've got now, and I'll only be upgrading if TRS2009 improves in areas that are important to me.

After my TC3 preorder experience when the DVDs arrived some months after my credit card had been charged and weeks after it was announced. I will not be preordering.

If there is a download version available then I'll purchase that when it is available.

I never pre-order anything and will hold fire until I see if my PC will handle 2009 it works fine with2004, 2006 and TC3 but I will not buy if I have to upgrade my PC

I'll pre-order it and I don't care how many service packs I'll have to add later. After all, SP's are also part of the good old Trainz experience. Right?

Extra cash up-front will probably help the team to finish it sooner rather than later.

I did not purchase any of the TC editions , and will be courious as to the advances in TS2009 in comparison with TRS2006 .

I shall follow my usual policy:-

Be not the first to take up the new, nor yet the last to cast the old aside.

I shall wait to what I shall be REALLY getting and if it is worth it for me (hence why I haven't purchased TC3)

I don't want it on CD or DVD - burn I can it self.

And shipping? Never again - trouble with German "ZOLL" was expensive enough for me.

We need minimum specs for computer and display to run TS2009. Also advisable specs too.

Maybe update your website to show whats in the package? I don't see much update on there... And can you clarify what the "world builder" version has? Is it a surveyor-only game? Or does it have a driver mode in it? Thanks for consideration to answer these consumer questions
