portal problem in 2010 engineers ed using basic portal how do you get a train to come out a different portal

Make sure 'consume trains' is ticked, then look at the bottom of the box for the return trains after x option. Make sure this is ticked, then you will find the option for returning trains through an alternate portal (you can specify how many minutes before it returns further up)

Thanks for the reply -when I put in a alternate portal it tis red

Have you made sure you have spelled the name of the portal exactly? If you have, you may have to exit Surveyor and go back in for it to recognise it.
