Poor eyesight - a suggestion

Fellow Trainzers ,

Although I wear glasses to type on the computer , I happen to be fortunate to have decent eyesight for a 65 year old .
But for those less fortunate a suggestion to be taken for what it is worth ?
I purchased a wireless mouse and keyboard , ran a video cord from my PC to my big screen TV ( over 40 feet from my PC ) . Connected the transmitters to my PC , set the receivers on my coffee table in front of the TV (along with a tody or two ), selected "Video 00" on the remote , PRESTO , a 54" screen of the Forum , huge letters ! Possibly members with a visual problem can somehow benefit from this thread ?

Just a thought --- ,DLR

I have edited my original post , it is not a 40 foot TV screen , but forty feet of video cord , the TV is actually 54" .
But yes , you can run Trainz , use photo shop , etc .

Sorry --- ,DLR

ive played warcraft, unreal tournament, and trainz on my fathers tremendous Sony Bravia flatpanel. its quite fun, wish i could have one for my dedicated monitor

I have run my Trainz on a large projection screen about 4metres by 2 metres at my step son-in-laws when we visit Melbourne. I use an Asus laptop for my trainset with wireless internet.
It was terrific to see the trains at that size. I would love to get my own projector but he paid A$5,000 for his.
Would love to couple to a wide screen plasma, but again too much on a pension
Cheers,
Mike

i run trainz on a 40in and it gives me motion sickness when I'm working in surveyor ...snip...all tho for me i find it harder to read the txt because of the higher rez.

This is more the response I was looking for . I did not consider this and therefore it is probably a good reason it won't help the visually impaired ?

It was just a thought --- ,DLR

And a Damn fine thought too....

I have to wrestle this this week. My PC is hard to access, and my TV is close, within a few feet. I just have to figure the connections.

I'm laughing, because even though both units are right within my reach, it's easier to Google the model of the TV and the GPU to see what connections they support!:D
