Picklist in surveyor, alphabetical order possible?

In surveyor I have many picklists that I would like to arrange in alphabetical (ascending) order.
I know that the content of each list can be re-arranged, but not the lists themselves.
Each time I use a picklist it drops to the bottom of the list resulting in a jumble of picklist titles.
The more lists you have the more you have to search for the one to want.

So folks, have I overlooked a setting somewhere that can alter the picklist order?

In the CM I "Open For Edit" all my favorite assets, and alter the config file "Username" line tag, and rename them, ex:
A PRR 2 10 0 ... (with no dash symbols)
A R ... (for RGCX railcars)
A M ... (for Majekear railcars)
A G ... (for Greenery trees)
AA Zweuholtzgerd
AA Washenlaunge

Now they all show up at the top of my picklist, in alphabetical order

I can already re-order what is in the picklist, I want to re-order the picklist list :)

It doesn't appear you can do that. I just checked thinking that the picklist works like a consist and is an actual asset that lists its contents within a table but that isn't the case.

It would be nice as you say to do that. This is one of those things for the Suggestion Boxcar forum.

Hello my dear friend John.

Just wondering -- can one create a pick-list in CM TANE in
alphabetical order, thus showing up in surveyor?

You can but the lists have to be named carefully when created. The content of course can be sorted.

In Trainz 12 in CM i give all the houses the letter H in front . You can give shops (under houses) H.S....... Loco's D or E (diesel / Electric) Wagons Freight W.F in front and passengers W.P. Stations ............... It's a lot of work but works fine

You can order the picklist, click the triangle to the right of the picklist name and you'll find the option to sort 'Ascending'.

Or you can edit the picklist in CM and re-order it there by clicking a column.

Edit: Sorry I seem to have misunderstood, you want the picklists themselves to be in order... hmm

You've misunderstood and what you've done isn't needed either. The OP wants to re order all the picklists, not the picklist's contents.
You can re-order the picklists contents without having to edit things like you've done, just click the triangle like i've put above. Unless I suppose you want your own order, which is fine and I understand why you've done it now.

I may be wrong but I get the impression that they are listed in the order that they were last altered, with the latest at the bottom.

What bothers me is when I sort a list as "Ascending" it all jumps into proper order. When I exit Surveyor and come back later, the list is back to an unordered list once more. Is sorting a non-savable feature?

Try sorting it in Content Manager and see if it sticks?

I'll give that a try, Dave. It's really annoying to know you've put something into the list, yet can't find it where it should be.
