Phiily "NEC layout" modification

Hello,
I am running Trainz 2010 and I have a copy of the NEC layout from 30th St Sta to Wilmington, DE (my apologies, I can't recall who built the layout). I really want to add NJT's Atlantic City line on my own. Last night I was thinking about it and today I noticed there are already 2 leads to Portals on the north side of the station. The platforms already depicted on the layout are the Amtrak/NJT served platforms. In real life, there is an upper level of open air platforms that are served by SEPTA. Anyway, rather than "reinventing the wheel" is there an easy way to tie a new layout to this one so NJT trains can serve the lower platforms? Or if there is no other way, is there a way I can use this 30th St station on a new layout? I have been playing trainz for years but I am new at modifying content.

Thanks for any help!

The creator of that route is n5vav, and you might want to ask him as to whether you can modify his route. As for the station, I think he used a couple of generic neoclassic buildings to achieve a decent representation of 30th Street Station. You should just be able to edit the route in Surveyor to see exactly which ones. I have since uploaded a model of the actual 30th Street, so you can use the real deal, although it does not include platforms on either level. You'll have to experiment with some to fit your needs. I have also put up individually-placeable support stanchions, and I can do a spline version of those if you want them.

FYI, and perhaps somebody else is already doing this, but my plan, after my SEPTA R3/R8 route is complete, is to do the NEC at least from Trenton to Philly (although I probably would build on wridenour's partially-completed NEC Washington-Baltimore route which is on the DLS.) This would include Shore interlocking and the Delair bridge, obviously, as well as a fully-accurate Zoo interlocking. I probably won't even start this for 6 months to a year, so don't wait for anything, but I thought this might be of interest to you.

Neumann created the original NEC route ... it had alot of "swervies" and trackage that was not quite prototypical ... but it is a really fun route.

Rather that to modify and fix the existing route ... it might be easier to simply start over again ... and do it correctly ... as the prototype.

I found that the "Enola Yard" route by Big Boy4000UP was twice to long, and twice too wide ...so that route sould be started over from scratch.
