I'm not trying to stir things up with this thread, it's something that I've wanted to say for a while but never got around to it.

If a person puts their signature at the end of their thread than I think that we should refer to that person by that name and not their user name. My signature is Pop Pop, not stouthm. If you take the time to read the thread and they took the time to put their signature on the thread than at least refer to them by their signature. Sorry for this minor rant, it was something that bugged me.

The convention has alway been to refer to a person by their user name. Didn't you know this when you chose 'stouthm. Why change it. If you prefer another name, petition Auran to change your user name to 'Pop Pop'. What is wrong with 'stouthm', it is no sillier than 'Pop Pop' which I guess is not your actual name anyway so it can't be your signature. Do you sign your cheques as 'Pop Pop'

If your real name is Bill or andrew, whatever, and want to be called by that, that is acceptable, but 'Pop Pop'

I shall always think of you fondly as 'stouthm'
