Pennsylvania Rail Road Heritage 8102 is here...

Wouldn't Brunswick Green be a bit more appropraite for a freight engine? (I think that was their frieght scheme) She's a sweet-lookin' engine nonetheless--and that's high praise from a diehard steam fan!!!

I'm not knocking the engine: it's got what has to be one of the greatest heritage schemes ever devised. I know the Tuscan Red scheme was the more visible one on the PRR, being on their passenger power, but...well, you have to remember, I'm a rivet-counting purist at heart; if it's a freight-hauling engine, in my mind she needs to have a frieght scheme on her.

In any event, I'd still love to get my hands on her controls...but maybe I'll settle for her JR remake

I saw the unit today on my Facebook page. Another railfan friend of mine posted a pic up. If you glance quickly at it, you'd swear it was an E8.

If they had painted the engine in Brunswick Green, it'd hardly look much different at a distance from the normal set of NS equipment. The Tuscan red makes it stand out more. In any case, they did a fantastic job with this one.
