PCC / streetcar reskin

I like the PCC available in DLS, but note that these are for Toronto and are not only painted for their system but advertisements on them are specific to that region as well.
I am either looking a PCC cars and streetcars that are neutral in design so they may be used on any route, or looking for someone who can reskin these cars to a neutral design. I am modeling the 1950's USA.

I like the three PCC - nonReal trolleys by TUME available on the DLS. They come in three colors - red, green, and yellow. The red one is very sillier to the ones used in Pittsburgh.

TUME also has tow other trolleys on the DLS used in Philadelphia - PCC Septa and PCC Muni. The only problem with these two trolleys is that their speed is limited to 45 mph, OK for city, but a little slow for interurban use.

I can reskin any of those PCC cars. Texture altases are pretty simple. I've skinned up a few era 1-3 german boxcars in beer and food carrier liveries, (on DLS and trainz.de) and some of togogs coaches and engines. If you can find pics of the color schemes you'd like. I can get those done fairly quickly.

Wow! your work looks amazing!! Yes, please, I have a couple of color schemes I really like. I'm thinking of Pacific Electric red, and maybe gold trim of that's possible ( if not that's okay too). Another is PRR green (also with the gold trim). Whatever you can put together that would be awesome! I just don't like the ones that are out there as they are either too bright or have markings and advertisements that make then specific to a city (like Toronto). Thank you very much !!!

I like Tume's work, but unfortunately they have advertisements or markings that make them specific to a city or railroad. I was hoping for a generic car but in realistic colors. The yellow nonReal is way too  bright. On a side note, do you know how to make the trolley pole go up when in Driver?

Ok, I skinned a Red version. Used reference pics for the PER color scheme. It turned out pretty nice. I put it on my dropbox, grab it here > https://www.dropbox.com/s/huasdae0dqr294m/RC PCC-NonReal-101 - Pacific Electric Red.cdp?dl=0

TUME has a no reskin policy in his license, so you can only use this Trolley for private use. Do not upload any versions to the DLS.

I did have a look at his recent activity, and it looks like he's in the process of making a new mesh for the Russian MTV-82, so, hopefully we'll see work started on new PCC meshes. Thread here https://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?167247-Ukrainian-tram-MTV-82-from-Kharkiv

Rico that looks really nice!

There are so many variations, albeit very slight in some cases, that there's nothing non-real about these.

I did notice something here. The trolley pole is supposed to be located on the hump in the rear and facing the other way. Is this one of those separate poles that are coupled to the body?

The pole on the non-real trolley is separate. It is treated as a consist. The advantage is that it allows the pole to accurately tract the overhead wire. I use lots of these trolleys in my routes.

Yes, they work pretty well too when the wire is placed in the proper place as well or is at the right height.

I noticed that when I attach the pole it is not quite over the 'hump" where the base should be. Am I doing it wrong? I Will it show in the correct location in Driver ?? Most important, I assume it shows in the up position ...???

The pole should attach at the rear of the hump, not the middle. The non-real trolley has an attachment point at the back end of the hump where the pole should go. The pole should raise automatically when you start to drive the trolley.

Great to hear that ! Thank you !!
